How often should you work out when your trying to tone muscle?

ALright I know for muscle gain, you should take a day break in between each time. Is it the same for when you are trying to tone your body?

Everyone is different and it is important to find what works for you.

Having said that, when in gaining mode (adding mass) I workout 3 days a week.

When I’m trying to “tone” (read – lose body fat) I increase weight training by 1 additional day a week to burn more calories. I also increase cardio sessions and lower calories during this time.

This is what I have found to work best for me.
