Is the Sportcraft Fullerton or Scottsdale billiard / table tennis combo better? I cannot tell from the reviews?
I know these are bottom of the line, but I can get them for the same price. But I am not sure what the difference is. Can anyone help me?
well, i have owned both exact base styles, the 1st was exactlly the same scottsdale table, without the tennis table option= i got home with it, it was brand new in the box, put it together, and tried 4 hours to level it up= impossible!!! i know how to level a table, as i have moved, and refelted many. the balls kept going to the center, and it was unlevel in a couple different spots as well= i boxed it back up, and took it straight back, and got my money back.
the fullerton table is the exact same 1 i have right now, but mine is a 3x 6 foot, which is about 8-10 inches shorter than the 1 you are looking at. it levels perfect, as the wood bed seems a little thicker, but cant tell you how the extra foot will be, in leveling it? my current fullerton table has 2 inch balls, which regular sized tables have 2 1/4 inch balls. but the 2 inch balls fit my table demensions perfect, as you can take 2 balls ant try to put them into the corner pocket, side by side at the same time, and they barelly squeeze thru. so thats about what you are looking 4. barelly not fitting is fine as well, you just dont want were 2 1/2 balls could fit thru, at once= pockets are too big.
so i would definitelly stay away from the scottsdale model! if your interested, email me, and i can help you find a 3×6 model like the fullerton model, which i know will level up perfect, roll true, play true, rails play pretty true, and the sheer cloth rolls true, as your going to get from that value of a table.
i bought mine to keep people off my 9foot, 860 simonis clothed brunswick table. i still mess with it once in awhile, and i can get into stroke very fast on the small table, and carry it straight to the 9 footer.
let me know what you are looking for in a table? do you want 1 with the ping pong option? depending on what your looking for, i could help you find what you need, what size room, are you working with?
but back to the question, there is no doubt between the choice of thoes 2 you mentioned, id get the fullerton, as i know that exact size an model scottsdale is junk!!!
