Round Bolster
How do you make your own cover for a bolster pillow (long and round)?

I’ve tried putting it in a pillow case and putting a ribbon on the end, but it just looks sloppy.

Measure the bolster- length, width, and diameter. Cut 2 circles the circumference of the bolster, and another piece of material the circumference. Add seam allowances to all of them, and sew them together. Or, cut a long piece of material, roll the bolster into it and tie with ribbon. If you don’t have basic geometry, you won’t understand a thing.
