Heart Rate Pulse Required To Burn Fat?

If I run at 10km/h for about 3 minutes and take a 1 minute break of 3km/h (walk) for about 10-20 minutes and get a pulse of 110+, will it burn fat? I’m 13 and weigh about 50-55kg. Thanks in advance.
oh sorry I meant 10km/h then 3km/h for 1 min then back to 10km/h etc.
And to Cunny, 100kcal? =O Anyhow, the treadmill says I’ve burnt 30 calories after jogging/running 1km. =(

Your weight does not sound excessive – why do you want to burn fat?
You should just be thinking about getting fit. Jogging at 10kph will burn around 600kcals in one hour ( about 100 kcals per mile) which will give you weight loss unless you increase your food intake. What you want to be able to do is gradually increase your speed and your heart rate. At your age if you are healthy you should be able to increase your heart rate to 150+ without any adverse effect ( 200 – 2 x age gives the maximum for starters). A 13 year old should be able to run 4 miles without getting unduly stressed – increase this distance as you get stronger but maximium 6 miles until you have finished growing at 16/18.
