Pregnancy Massage Tomorrow!!?!?
Hey all!
I’m 34 weeks 4 days pregnant and tomorrow morning I’m getting a pregnancy massage. I was just wondering how they do it? Its not the more expensive hydrotherm kind, or even the one with the special table. My husband went and bought me a gift card for Christmas and asked about how they do it. They said they just prop you up on the massage table with pillows.
Just wondering if anyone has any other insight on it!?
ALSO-
What should I wear?? I’ve had many massages, but never a pregnancy massage. Will I be completely covered the whole time? If so I’d wear just my underwear, but if not I don’t want my boobs floppin out the whole time!!

As a massage therapist I’ve given plenty of Pre-natal massages and you can expect about the same thing as a normal massage. A few differences will be the way you lie. You’ll lay down on your back and sides, they will bolster you (place pillows or soft cushions between knees and arms and behind your back). The MT will do a lot of the same techniques just slightly modified because of the baby bump. If you like they will use very light strokes on your tummy, (using fingertips). You can go completely in the buff, with undies on, and even with a bra on. The MT can and will work around a bra its just easier without one on. (BUT DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO… ITS YOUR MASSAGE!!! ) They will keep you draped and warm. Let them know what you’d like and not like. Hope this helps!
