Massage is very comforting and soothening therapy?
Although you have physiotherapists and massage SPAs all over the world, mom can give nice head massage to kids or spouse can give a body massage to each other. However in reality very few people seem to be doing so. Why we are not resorting to this simple technique of giving comfort to each other ?
Not a silly question really. Although there are some who are giving and receiving touch in this way, if more people did this it would be a wonderful thing. As someone who has instructed in Massage both for the general public and at the professional level, it has been my experience that some do not do massage for family because (s)he does not feel confident in terms of doing it “right”. But the simple of touching with a healing intention can be so de-stressing for both giver and receiver. Asking for feedback about pressure can be a great way to guide the massage, and confidence will be gained as you continue to do this.
